John Madison Cornett* was born January 15, 1835 in Ashe County, NC and died February 8, 1915. He was married on June 3, 1855 to Cynthia Caroline Hawkins in Johnson County, TN. She was born on June 3, 1839 and died on April 8, 1927. All of their children were born in Wards Forge (Laurel Bloomery) Johnson County, TN.
